Reneval of the Joint PhD Agreement between Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and University of Peradeniya (UoP)
13 February 2019A delegation from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) visited University of Peradeniya on 13 February 2019.
The purpose behind the visit of Helen Klaebe, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Helen Edwards, Prof. Louise Hafner, Prof. Stephen Kajewski, Associate Prof. Saiful Karim, Dr. Stephen Cox and Prof. Deryn Vahl Meyer was to renew the Joint PhD Agreement between the two institutions for upcoming years commencing from 13 February 2019- 31 December 2024.
A special meeting at the Vice- Chancellor’s Office was carried out to sign the new agreement and Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Acting Director, international Affairs Office, Dr. Jayalath Edirisinghe, Faculty of Engineering and Dr. Anil Pushpakumara, Fcaulty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences represented the end of University of Peradeniya.
In addition to the renewal of the MoU, further collaborations between the two institutions were taken into consideration. Visit of the delegation and the meeting activities were coordinated by the International Affairs Office.
