20 January 2020Two delegates from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), India, Prof. P. Arumugam, Professor at Faculty of Physics and Associate Dean of International Relations and Dr. Vivek Kumar Gaurav, Research Associate, International Relations Office visited University of Peradeniya on 20 January 2020. IIT Roorkee is among the leading institutes in India in engineering, basic and applied research. During the visit, the delegates held discussions with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Deans of Faculties, Director International Relations and several other Academic Staff members. Further, the delegates conducted a seminar to introduce postgraduate opportunities for international students, undergraduate internship programmes, academic programmes, start-up incubation facilities and life in campus. Around 60-70 participants were present at the programme which was conducted at the Faculty of Engineering.
