Experience Sharing Session on setting up a water testing laboratory
27 January 2020Mr. John Consolvo, an Administrative Scientist at the Philadelphia Water Department, visited the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya on 27 January 2020. Mr. John Consolvo has 19 years of experience at Philadelphia Water Department’s Bureau of Laboratory Services on managing projects, various programs, budgets, contracts and personnel. He has experience in managing environmental, analytical, organic and inorganic chemistry laboratories, aquatic biology and wastewater treatment plant laboratories.
During his visit he conducted a seminar titled, “Experience Sharing Session on setting up a water testing laboratory” followed by a discussion session. Around 30 participants were present for the programme. Further, he visited several laboratories at the Faculty of Engineering and shared his knowledge with the staff and the students.
