Prof. Luis Rato’s Visit
21-22 January 2020Prof. Luis Rato, a scholar from the Department of Informatics, University of Evora, Portugal visited the University of Peradeniya during 13 January 2020 to 23 January 2020 under Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program.
On 21 and 22 January 2020, Prof. Rato conducted a workshop on “Image Processing and Machine Learning Methods for Image Analysis” at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. The workshop was organized by the International Relations Office together with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. During his visit, he also met with Dean/ Faculty of Engineering and Heads of Departments, Academic staff of the Statistics and Computer Science Department and discussed possible research collaborations between the two Institutes.
