International Relations Office

The International Relations Office held an informative seminar on Opportunities for Higher Studies in Engineering on the 22nd of September at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, in collaboration with AIESEC in the University of Peradeniya and the International Interaction Club.

Prof. Shameen Jinadasa, Prof. Roshan Ragel, Dr. Hiran Yapa, Dr. Himal Suraweera, Dr (Mrs.) Nadeeshani Nanayakkara and Dr. Panduka Neluwala were all in attendance as valuable resource persons. After the opening address was delivered by Prof. Shameen Jinadasa (Director, International Relations Office, University of Peradeniya), presentations on why to apply for higher studies, available higher studies opportunities in various countries, choosing universities to apply for and the application process were made by Prof. Roshan Regal, Dr. Himal Suraweera, (Mrs) Nadeeshani Nanayakkara and Dr. Hiran Yapa. Video testimonials from graduates who had completed their higher studies at esteemed global universities were also shown, in order to present the attending students with a well-rounded idea of what higher studies in Engineering entail. Finally a panel discussion, where students were given the opportunity to raise their queries and concerns concluded the event.
