Workshop on PhD Opportunities – Prospects in US and Worldwide - 2018
15 December 2018Parallel to the Production and Management Society (POMS) International Conference, International Affairs Office in collaboration with United States- Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission (US-SLFC) organized the Workshop on PhD Opportunities – Prospects in US and Worldwide. The workshop held on 15th December 2018 at Amaya Hills Hotel, Kandy.
The basic objective of the workshop was to examine the PhD opportunities in Operations Management & SCM available in United States and worldwide.
Prof. Houmin Yan, Dean, College of Business, City University of Hong Kong, Prof. Gal Raz, Dean, CLB Business School, Israel, Prof. Chelliah Sriskandarajah, Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, USA, Dr. Bala Shetty, The Cullen Trust for Higher Education Chair in Business Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, USA, Dr. Richard Metters, Mays Business School, Texas A&M University and Mrs. Sandarshi Gunawardena, Executive Director, United States- Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission (US-SLFC) took part as the resource persons of the workshop.
At the workshop, around 20 interested Undergraduate and Postgraduate students from UoP were able to gain fruitful information in relation to the worldwide Fulbright educational opportunities.
