Japanese Delegation to University of Peradeniya
27 January 2018Prof. Monte Cassim, Former President of Asia Pacific University, Japan and Senior Advisor to Prime Minister, Japan along with Yasuhiro Taniguchi, Chief Specialist, Government and External Relations Office and Mr. Hareen Gunawardhana JCM Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office, Japan visited University of Peradeniya on 27 January 2018. The main focus of their discussion was the development of Kandy City and the role of the Japanese Aid and UoP in the process.
The first discussion of the delegation was carried out with Vice- Chancellor at the VC lodge and in detailed conversations were conducted to elaborate the involvement of UoP at this process. Vice- Chancellor stated that the support could be given through any of 09 Faculties of UoP and even Research and Development could be improved accordingly. Another discussion was carried out with Dr. Nanda Gunawardhana, Director, IAO and Dr. Lalitha Dissanayake, Department of Geography in order to expand the collaborations.
