21 June 2018A delegation from China University of Geosciences, China visited University of Peradeniya on 21 June 2018.
Accordingly, Prof. Deng Jun, President, China University of Geosciences, Dr. Duan Xiang, Dr. Yu Guang, Dr. Liu Wencan and Ms. Pian Huayan carried out a meeting with Acting Vice- Chancellor, University of Peradeniya, Dean, Faculty of Science, Director, PGIS, Director, IAO and Head, Department of Geology at the Office of the Vice- Chancellor.
At the meeting the major factor to discuss upon was to initiate Geology based researches and student exchange programs for the Department of Geology and how to expand them for several Faculties of the two institutions.
In order to expedite the process of said programs, it was suggested to sign a MoU in relevance.
