A discussion on Erasmus Programme and its related projects was held on 23 October 2019 at the Conference Room, Postgraduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya. Professor Upul B. Dissanayake, Vice-Chancellor graced this occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. frank Hess, Head of Cooproration, Delegation of the EU to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Professor S.H.P.P. Karunaratne - Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Directors from the Postgraduate Institutes, Deans from the Faculties, members of the Erasmus Committee members, International Affairs Office (IAO) Management Committee members, Directors of University Centers, Bursar, and Registrar participated in this event.

Dr. Shameen Jinadasa, Director of the IAO welcomed the gathering. Mr. Hess briefed the gathering about the Erasmus+ programme. The discussion was focused on International Credit Mobility (ICM), Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees, Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), and Jean Monnet Activities. Prof. Janaka Vidanarachchi gave a brief overview on ICM projects at the University of Peradeniya.

Prof. Nimal Dharmasena briefed on the CBHE project initiated by the IAO, Project “INNOTAL”: Integrating Talent Development into Innovation Ecosystems in Higher Education.

The meeting adjourned after a brief question and answer session followed by a networking dinner.
