Romanian Delegation from University of Cluj- Napoca
15-16 February 2018A Romanian Delegation visited University of Peradeniya from 15-16 February 2018 and the team included Prof. Monica Marian, Department of Botany, Prof. Claudia Marian, Department of Psychology, Prof. Andrei Horvat, Vice dean of faculty of science /Department of Mathematics and Informatics and Dr. Ovidiu Rotaru, Department of Maxilo-facial surgery, University of Cluj- Napoca, Romania.
Consequently, Prof. Monica Marian carried out a talk and a special discussion with Dr. Gehan Jayasuriya, Faculty of Science and Prof. Claudia Marian conducted a discussion with Dr. Dhanesh Karunanayake, Department of Psychology. Also, Prof. Andrei Horvat conducted another discussion with Dr. Shelton Perera, Faculty of Science and Dr. Ovidiu Rotaru with Dr. Kanchana Kapugama, Faculty of Dental Sciences.
Discussions were held at their respective Departments and Dr. Rotaru donated some equipments and medicines to the Faculty of Dental Sciences. The main concern at their meetings and the suggestion was to develop more collaboration between the two institutions. And the delegation emphasized on the possibility of applying for the next student/ staff exchange programs under ERASMUS+. And the ones who represented the University of Peradeniya from the above mentioned Departments were suggested as the focal points for the development of the discussed programs.
