“Bridge to Japan”, Post- Conference Workshop, SLJCR 2019
24 August 2019Followed by the Sri Lanka-Japan Collaborative Research (SLJCR 2019), International Affairs Office (IAO) in collaboration with Postgraduate Institute of Science (IAO) organized the Post- Conference Workshop- “Bridge to Japan” on 24 August 2019.
The workshop was carried out at the Conference Room, Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS) with the involvement of Prof. Buddhi Marambe, Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. S. de Silva, Saga University, Japan, Prof. N.S. Cooray, International University of Japan, Prof. Y. Murayama, University of Tsukuba of Japan and Mr. Takeshi Ozaki, Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka as the resource persons. Prof. S. Wickramasinghe, Director, SLJSC, Dr. S. Jinadasa, Acting Director, IAO also involved as the Panel Members.
Foremost focus of the"Bridge to Japan", were the students who wish to pursue their Undergraduate or Postgraduate higher studies in Japan, on forming research partnerships with Japanese researchers. Around 60 participants were presented for the program including the staff and the students of UoP.
