The Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya is delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Emeritus Vidya Nidhi Lakshman Dissanayake as the seventeenth Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, effective July 16, 2025.

The Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya (AAUP), in collaboration with the Lanka Education and Research Network (LEARN), proudly launched the AI Upskilling Initiative on 14th July 2025 at the Conference Hall, Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS), University of Peradeniya.

The University of Peradeniya proudly celebrated its Founders’ Day alongside the Alumni Excellence Awards 2025, honoring outstanding graduates and marking another milestone in the institution’s rich legacy.
