The Western Australia Chapter of the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya successfully held its annual flagship event, Hanthana Night 2025, on September 13, 2025. This tradition, which began in the early 2000s, serves to reconnect alumni and friends while generating vital support for current students.

We are proud to announce that three emeritus professors of Physics, who completed their Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics at the University of Peradeniya, currently serve as Chancellors at three prominent universities in Sri Lanka.
