Northern Chapter - AAUP
The Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya (AAUP) has initiated the process of starting a regional chapter in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka. A meeting was held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna at Killinochchi on the 7th January 2020.
The meeting was attended by 19 alumni members from the North
and representatives from AAUP
including, Eng. Sarath Seneviratne /Immediate
Past President , Dr. Udula Krishnarthna/the President of the Colombo Chapter, Ms. Hema Gamage/ General Secretary, Dr. S.
Sivakumar, a member of the EXCO, and
Mrs. Daisy Seneviratne, a member of the AAUP. The discussion was steered
by Prof. S. Kannathasan
The Immediate Past President, Eng. Sarath Seneviratne made a
presentation of the AAUP summarizing its objectives, scope, membership and the
past events implemented by the AAUP.
An interim committee was elected at this meeting to
spearhead the movement. The members of this committee are Prof. S. Kannathasan

Mrs. T. Thusyanthi (0757127528), Prof. A Athputharajah (0777379164). All Peradeniya
