The AAUP Executive Committee decided to award Rs. 50,000.00 to a student named I.P. Liyanage (Registration No: M/23/111) who participated Swimming (Men’s) event in the World University Games (WUG) 2025 in Germany from July 17 to July 27, 2025. To raise the necessary funds, Mr. S.A.C.M. Zuhyle, on behalf of the Sir Ivor Jennings Endowment Trust Fund, contributed 40 copies of the University of Peradeniya Coffee Table Book, with each copy to be sold at Rs. 5,000.00 to raise the required amount. The AAUP expresses its gratitude to the Sir Ivor Jennings Endowment Trust Fund and its Trustee, Mr. S.A.C.M. Zuhyle, for their support in helping University of Peradeniya students represent Sri Lanka at the World University Games 2025.
