University of Peradeniya emerged runner-up at the recently held Inter University Road Race championship-2014 which was worked off on 13th July 2014 at the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka, Oluvil. For this major athletic event, athletes from all 14 state universities participated. The Champions were University of Sri Jayewardenepura while University of Jaffna secured the third place.
