First Aid Training Session

A First Aid Training session was conducted successfully on 15th May 2025 at the Curve Auditorium, Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture. The session was organised for Sub Wardens and Work Aids of the Residential Halls.

The session was led by Mr. Y.K.M.U. Bandara, Nursing Officer, Health Centre of the University of Peradeniya, who provided in-depth instruction and practical guidance on essential first aid procedures, under the guidance of Dr. (Mrs) H.M.C.L. Herath, Chief Medical Officer, Health Centre.

🎯 The training aimed to enhance participants' ability to respond quickly and effectively during medical emergencies, both in the workplace and in everyday situations, with a strong focus on hands-on learning.

The Nursing Officer-led training ensured medical accuracy and real-world insights, making the session especially valuable and practical. Attendees actively participated in demonstrations and scenario-based exercises, which helped build confidence in their emergency response skills.

The event was well-attended, with positive feedback from participants who appreciated the clear instructions, interactive approach, and relevance of the content.

This programme was organized by the University Safety Officer along with the General Services Division of the University as per the instructions of Professor Ranjith Pallegama, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Professor J.K.
