About the Shramadhana

A community-driven environmental hygiene campaign organised in response to the national dengue outbreak, bringing together all five departments of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences in a spirit of unity and shared responsibility.

Shramadhana Campaign – Allied Health Sciences

The Faculty Safety Committee, in collaboration with the Faculty Welfare Society of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya, organised a successful Shramadhana campaign on 9th July 2025. The campaign was a proactive response to the ongoing dengue outbreak in the country.

The Shramadhana campaign was conducted from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. within the faculty premises. It was aimed at improving environmental hygiene and eliminating potential mosquito breeding sites that could pose a health risk to the university community.

🎯 The campaign aimed to improve environmental hygiene, eliminate potential mosquito breeding sites, and foster a shared sense of responsibility among all faculty members in safeguarding the university community.

Notably, the event saw the enthusiastic participation of all five departments of the faculty, along with academic, administrative, and non-academic staff. Their collective effort played a vital role in cleaning and uplifting the faculty environment, contributing significantly to the safety and well-being of the entire university community.

The campaign also fostered unity and a shared sense of responsibility among staff members, reflecting the strong spirit of collaboration within the faculty. The overwhelming response and positive energy demonstrated the faculty's deep commitment to both public health and environmental stewardship.
