Welcome to Jayatilake Hall

Jayatilake Hall, the “twin” hall of Arunachalam Hall is one of the first 5 halls built at the University of Peradeniya. It was named “Jayathilake Hall” to honor Sir Baron Jayathilake, the first leader of the state council, and one of the leading protagonists of the university scheme (A branch of the Public Works Department). The hall is an easily accessible hall of residence of the University. Currently, 189 male students can be accommodated in the Jayathilake hall.
