The welcome ceremony of the new entrants to the Arts, University of Peradeniya was held at the University Gymnasium, on 03rd February 2020, under the patronage of Professor Upul B. Dissanayake, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya.

Professor O.G. Dayarathne Banda, Dean Faculty of Arts welcomed the gathering. Nine Hundred and Eighty undergraduate students were enrolled for the 2018/19 academic year and their parents were also present at the occasion.
