The University of Peradeniya has been ranked among the world’s top 500 Universities for the 3rd consecutive year and number one university in Sri Lanka according to Times Higher Education Ranking 2022.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is one of the largest and most comprehensive rankings. In 2022 ranking, It includes more than 1600 universities spread among nearly 100 countries and territories. The Times Higher Education ranking takes core areas such as teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation); citations (research influence); industry income (knowledge transfer) and international outlook (staff, students and research) into consideration in ranking universities.
