Department of Philosophy, University of Peradeniya conducted Professor K. N. Jayatilake Annual Commemoration on 17th February 2021 at the Seminar Room at Faculty of Arts. The book titled Buddhist Epistemology: Professor K. N. Jayatilake Felicitation Volume by Gonalagoda Nanda Thero and Dr. Namali Kumari Handegama was launched at the event.

Professor K. N. Jayatilake was born on 1st November 1920 and his untimely demise occurred at the age of 49. The memorial oration speech was delivered by Prof. Asanga Thilakaratne. Prof. Upul B. Dissanayake, Vice Chancellor, University of Peradeniya, Prof. Parakrama Karunaratne, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Mr. Mangala Dissanayake, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya, Prof. P. Jamahir, Head of the Department of Philosophy, other Heads/Professors/Academic members, Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya and Family members of Professor K. N. Jayatilake were participated for the event.
