The Postgraduate Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (PGIHS) Research Congress 2020-21 was held on 27th November 2021 at PGIHS. The Chief Guest at the Event was the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, H.E. Gopal Baglay. He was accompanied by the Assistant Indian High Commissioner in Kandy, Dr. Athira S. and First Secretary, Dr. Sushil Kumar. The Keynote Speaker was the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Bangladesh and Emeritus Professor, University of Peradeniya, H.E. Prof. Sudharshan Seneviratne who spoke on "Contesting and Redefining Knowledge-based Education in Sri Lanka: A Paradigm Shift".

The event was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Deans of Faculties, Directors of PG Institutes, Board of Management and Boards of Study members.
