Induction Ceremony of the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor Prof. M.D.Lamawansa was held on 4th August 2021, at the University premises. The outgoing Vice Chancellor Prof. Upul B Dissanayake, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor S.H.P.P.Karunaratne, all the Deans of the faculties, Council members, Directors of Postgraduate Institutes and few other distinguished guests participated at the ceremony.

Although the guest number had to be limited due to Covid -19 health restrictions, the ceremony was webcasted.
