The Inauguration of the 01st Induction Program for Academic Staff 2021 was held on 27th April, 2021 at 9.00 a.m. in the auditorium of the Staff Development Centre. The 150 hrs Induction program which commenced is scheduled to be held during April to June, 2021 under the following three segments.

• 01st Segment – 27th to 30th April, 2021 and 03rd to 07th May, 2021
• 02nd Segment – 17th to 21st May, 2021 and 31st May to 04th June, 2021
• 03rd Segment – 07th to 11th June, 21st to 23rd and 28th to 30th June, 2021

Thirty participants from nine faculties have been selected as participants according to the forty seven applications. Prof. S.H.P. Parakrama Karunaratne: the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shaluka Kodituwakku: the Dean, Faculty of Science, Prof. Chalinda Beneragama: the Director, Staff Development Centre, Dr. W.D. Chandrasena: a former Director of the SDC graced the occasion.
