Prof. Asiri Abeygunawadena, Prof. Athula Perera (retired), Prof. Janaka B Ekanayake, Prof. Amarasooriya Pitawala, Prof. Deepthi Yakandawala, and Prof. Kamala Liyanage (retired) are elected as new Fellows of the National Academy of Sciences of Sri Lanka (NASSL) from 05th March 2022. The NASSL is a non-governmental body of eminent scientists of Sri Lanka that provides independent advice on policy matters to the Government and the public in general on all matters of national importance relating to science and technology. The NASSL also promotes the advancement and dissemination of scientific knowledge.
