2nd Undergraduate Research Symposium 2022 of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science
The 2nd Undergraduate Research Symposium of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science was held on Tuesday, June 28 th, 2022 as an Online event with the participation of the Chief Guest, Prof. MD. Lamawansa, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Terrence Madhujith, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Anil Pushpakumara, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Janaka Ekanayake (Keynote Speaker) academics from the faculty and invitees representing several state veterinary professional bodies. The symposium was organized by the team lead by Dr. Suranji Wijekoon, the Chairperson of the Veterinary Medical Education Unit.
The Undergraduate Research Symposium is an opportunity for undergraduates to present what they have learned through their research experiences to a larger audience. Undergraduate Research Symposium of this nature provides a platform to young researchers to present their research and development work and get feedback and suggestions to improve the quality of their work.
