Recent Events

Hilda Night, the annual get together of the Hilda Hall was held on 19th October, 2018. The Chief Guest of the event was the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Parakcrarma Karunarathne. The Deputy Director ofthe CDCE Dr. Sanath Wijesundara, Warden of Gunapala Malalaseka Hall Dr. Lalitha Dissanayake, the Registrar of the University Mr. Saman Rajapaksha, Chief Engineer of the University Work Department Mr.Nishantha Jayasooriya and many other academics and non Academics including sub-wardens of different Halls graced this event. From among the program events, classical and Indian dances, games, singing songs, and crowning of Miss Hilda (Hilda Kumari) were conspicuous. Students and non-academic staff of the Hilda hall took part in the events. Hilda hostellers and their friends in adjacent halls were among the audience. All who joinedenjoyed the function which lasted at midnight. The event was organized by Hall Society under the patronage of the Warden of Hilda ObeysekaraHall Prof. Mallika Pinnawala with special supervision of the Fulltime Sub Warden Mrs. Menaka Piyadarshani Bandara.
