Educational Seminar programme was conducted on 20th November 2018 for ordinary level students at N/Siduhath maha viduhala –Theripaha in educational division of walapane.
Year of 2019” New year Celebration party was organized at the hall premises on 01st of January 2019.
The Arunachalam hall is in middle of the University nearest to the university ground. It contains 64 student rooms. It was named after the late Sri Ponnambalam Arunachalam,one of the founder of the Ceylon university college and the first warden of the hall was Mr. S.T Senevirathne.
• Constructed a new foot path for front side entrance,Provided number of six new reading table and thirty six new chairs to the reading room,Polished all Dining Tables and laid politheane to the tables,Renovated the middle compound of the hall.
To provide peaceful and proper educational environment for the accommodated students and provide efficiency service as required to them to do their studies well.
General rules and regulations of the university system and by laws which are introduced by the university are applied to the halls of residence as well.
Only for visitors of residential staff members are provided accommodation facilities in the hostel maximum for two days under the permission of the warden and sub –warden.
Sports Facilities: - (Table tennis, Carom, Badminton, and Chess).
Reading Room facilities.
Canteen Facilities.
Total numbers of 190 final year students are provided accommodation facilities in the Arunachalam hall covering all Faculties of the university.
Numbers of eight academic staff are provided accommodation facilities in the hall including three academic subs –wardens and five academic staff members.
