Traineeship Awarding Ceremony – WSAP (MMF) Phase II

On 22nd October 2024, the Career Guidance Unit and the Student Services Division of the University of Peradeniya successfully hosted the Traineeship Awarding Ceremony for the Working Student Assistantship Programme (WSAP) – NZ Phase II. The event took place at the Senate Room, with Prof. Terrance Madujith, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, serving as the chief guest.

The program recognized and awarded traineeships to 50 outstanding students, selected based on their skills and financial needs. The traineeships were funded by the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya (AAUP) New Zealand Chapter. The initiative aims to provide students with hands-on roles across various university departments, fostering professional growth while contributing to the institution.

Distinguished guests at the ceremony included Prof. Dileep De Silva, Director of the Career Guidance Unit and Dr. Jayantha Sirisena, Assistant Secretary of the AAUP New Zealand Chapter.
