This division is a part of the University of Peradeniya. It provides a comprehensive service to all students of the University by administering and allocation of 23 hostels in the University, with the aim of helping to support the student experience by providing efficient and effective accommodation services and facilities. Providing residential facilities for Undergraduate Students, recovering hostel fees & fines for damages from accommodated students through the full time sub wardens of the halls of residence and supplying furniture & other facilities for halls as according to the requests given by the sub wardens of the respective halls of residence are the main functions of this division.

Mrs. S.M.Swarna Kanthi took over as the Acting Director of the Student Accommodation Division of Peradeniya University on 02/04/2024 and joins the history of our department as the first female Director.
She completed her First Degree and Master's Degree in higher education from the University of Peradeniya. After that, she served for over 22 years as a Sub Warden at James Peiris, Wijewardena and Sarasavi Uyana Halls.
An inaugural meeting was held on 27.02.2025 to create a website containing information about those running private boarding places in the Grama Seva Divisions around the university as a solution to the residential problem that has worsened with the increasing number of students.
The Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya successfully conducted the inauguration ceremony for welcoming its 2024/2025 intake on February 10, 2025 at the Faculty Auditorium. The event was a resounding success, setting a vibrant tone for the academic journey of the incoming students.
